VOLUNTEER CORNER

The open-hearted commitment of our volunteers keeps KSC and our dharma offerings operating smoothly. Would you consider offering a few hours of your time each month to work with your sangha mates? It can be a great way to strengthen bonds and care for KSC.

Here are some current opportunities to get more involved:

Volunteer Team Members

Lama Yeshe called the VOT the "matchmaker team." When sangha members express an interest in volunteering, we try to help them find a way to support the temple that makes the best use of their talents, interests, and time. When the various teams need extra support, we inform the sangha of those opportunities to help KSC.

Joining the Volunteer Organizing Team is a great way to meet people in our sangha. If you live far away, we are still very happy to have remote helpers!

Publicity Team Member

The Publicity Team includes all the volunteers who help with advertising events at KSC and communicating information to the sangha and the wider public. We are looking for a person to get the Public Service Announcements out in the world, and more. This will be a dynamic team as it grows, one that helps KSC to welcome new people to experience the blessings of the dharma.

If you are interested in collaborating, please send an email to office@ksc.org.

Newsletter Creator

Would you like to feel connected to the pulse of KSC and to the community? The newsletter creator puts out an edition four times a year. The format consists of (often) a message from the lamas, an interview with a KSC member, volunteer corner, and other topics of interest. There is usually a loose theme that runs through the quotes and some of the articles. Most of the articles are written by others. This job takes about 12 hours per issue.

If you’d like more information, please contact Rochelle and Susan through the KSC office at office@kscashland.org

Lama Sunday Greeters

This role is as simple as it sounds, but essential for allowing the lamas to teach from the shrine room! Greet people, answer their questions, share prayer books, provide masks.

If this work sounds intriguing to you, please email us at volunteers@ksc.org
