His Eminence Kalu Rinpoche KSC Zoom Teaching - PART II

“Tranquility and Insight: Methods and Meaning of Practice, Part II”

Saturday, November 14, 01:00 PM Pacific Time (US and Canada)

We are honored and pleased to announce that His Eminence Kalu Rinpoche, leader of the Shangpa Kagyu lineage, will be giving teachings via zoom at Kagyu Sukha Chöling. Tranquility, or Calm Abiding meditation, is the foundation of all Buddhist practices and outlook. A calm mind brings a saner life, but more importantly, it provides the experiential basis for understanding the power of thoughts and emotions. With deepening understanding, we can give ourselves choices about which thoughts and emotions to express and which to release. Most certainly, this diminishes our reactivity in daily life.

A calm mind brings other benefits, chief among them the space to consider the situation of those around us. If we are internally quieter, then we have the attention to notice others’ unhappiness and suffering. This is a firm basis for the expression of our innate loving kindness and compassion. Please join Kalu Rinpoche for a rich exploration of Methods and Meaning of Practice.

Kalu Rinpoche received full transmission of the Shangpa Kagyu Lineage from HE Tai Situ Rinpoche and Venerable Bokar Rinpoche, he completed his three-year retreat in 2008. Rinpoche continues the unbroken transmission of the Shangpa and Karma Kagyu Lineages, ensuring that these precious teachings remain available to those who seek to walk the blessed Path of Liberation.

Donation:    $45  Full Cost,  $25 for those who need financial assistance, or $75  for those who wish to donate an additional amount to include dana for Rinpoche and KSC.
