In this day of practice, we will explore meditations adapted from Tibetan Buddhism to learn how to become familiar with the experience of compassion, and more readily access compassion in our daily lives.

Curious about the practices at our temple?  Please join us for Newcomers' night! The evening will begin with a guided Calm Abiding Meditation, followed by Lama Pema introducing the center and its winter season events. Come meet other sangha members and bring a friend! The Sanctuary is open for silent meditation during First Friday, from 4:00 - 5:00 pm. All are welcome. Join us for an Art Walk into town afterwards.

We will gather at 6 pm for a brief Calm Abiding meditation, followed by a very brief explanation of the Refuge Vow. Those wishing to take the vow will then come forward, and the ceremony of receiving the Refuge Vow six will unfold.

Please note: The Refuge Vow must take place in-person & there will be no Zoom attendance for this event.

Heartbreak touches our lives in myriad forms, great and small. Come join us in opening an exploration of the Buddha's profound approach to healing the heartbreak of being human! 

This introduction will take place just after Calm Abiding Sunday practice. Come and learn what it means to take refuge in the Three Jewels.

Vigil Keepers is an optional additional training offered to everyone who attends a death and dying class at KSC. Join this group and learn Buddhist practices to support those who are experiencing the transition of death and dying.
