Saga Dawa Dūchen “Great Occasion of the Holy Month”

  • Kagyu Sukha Chöling 109 Clear Creek Drive Ashland, OR, 97520 United States (map)

Outside at KSC & on Zoom

Saga Dawa Dūchen is the celebration of the Buddha’s birth, enlightenment and parinirvana (death), falling on the full moon day in May. This year, the sangha is invited to KSC to do kora (circumambulation) to the sound of the practice for full moon day, Lama Chöpa (The Lineage of Dharma Teachers).

Lama Pema and Lama Yeshe will lead a reading of the Shangpa lineage songs of realization from the book Timeless Rapture. This will be available on Zoom, and will be broadcast from the front portico of KSC as well. Sangha members having a copy of this book are welcome to join in that reading wherever they are.

As well, all individual practitioners are encouraged to focus their meditations during this month, as it is felt that the impact (merit, benefit) is multiplied a hundred thousand times.

To join this event via Zoom, please click the button “Join Zoom Broadcast” in the sangha email announcement. This Zoom link will also be listed in the Monthly Online Teachings email. If you would like to join this list, please email the office to be added.
