Each year, the Joyful Effort Practice Group opens to new members at the end of April. The focus of the group’s study and practice is the Foundations or Ngöndro meditations. Season by season, we focus on one chapter, completing four chapters over the course of a year. To link our personal practice with the associated teachings, we meet monthly on the Tonglen Sundays.
Each chapter of the Foundations has a specific focus, beginning with deepening our understanding of refuge, and continuing with transforming negativity in our mindstream; offering without limit; and making the strong connection with the teacher. All of the chapters’ meditations utilize the methods of visualization and contemplation.
Lama Yeshe will be presenting an introduction to the content and purpose of this practice following the Calm Abiding meditation on Thursday, March 25th. All are welcome and no registration is necessary. The talk will be followed by time for questions.
