Volunteers to Support the Visit of Kalu Rinpoche
Via Zoom
Kagyu Sukha Chöling will have the honor of hosting the leader of the Shangpa Kagyu lineage, Kyabje Kalu Rinpoche, from Tuesday, March 8 through Monday, March 14.
During that time, Rinpoche will have some rest and personal days, and then will teach Friday through Sunday, March 11 – 13.
Lama Yeshe, assisted by Ceremonial Arts leader Sara Smith and assistant Nell LeFebvre, will be in the KSC sanctuary for this informative meeting. They will describe and demonstrate the traditional ways to serve our guest teacher beverages and meals, and in addition, they will describe the many ways that anyone can be involved in supporting his visit:
Food shopping
Meal preparation
Drivers available for Rinpoche to explore the Valley if he chooses
Bicycling enthusiasts to provide Rinpoche with experienced knowledge of bike trails (both the trail to Central Point and those in the watershed)
Laundering linens before and after his visit
Xeroxing team to prepare teaching materials before this visit, and also on-call during the visit should more be needed on short notice
We hope that many sangha members will be interested in supporting Rinpoche’s visit in these ways.
All are welcome to attend this meeting to learn more about these activities.
This event is free. Please contact the KSC office (office@kscashland.org) to register and get the Zoom link to attend.
Registration ends Thursday noon, February 3rd.
