Four Sundays
March 19, April 23, May 7 & June 11
9:00 am - 11:30 am
The program provides a wonderful opportunity for children to learn about and experience the Dharma in ways suitable for children such as Dharma art projects and games that teach mindfulness. Lama Pema or Lama Yeshe will offer a brief Dharma talk at the beginning of each session.
About This Year's Parent Volunteers:
Adam Jaffe Back is a parent to a fun-loving kindergartener and also a former teacher. Kindness and compassion are the central teachings that brought him to Buddhism. He's excited to learn and practice with the Lamas, Akash, and, of course, the Dharma Kids!
Akash Totain is a mother of two daughters, ages 6 and 8. She has genuine devotion to the path of awakening and loves practicing with children. Some of her past experience working with children, of all ages, includes: guiding children in Nature programs, teaching in a day care, and service in orphanages abroad.
Both Adam and Akash are very enthusiastic about practicing and having fun with the children in the program.
Pre-registration is required.
Class size is limited to 12 children at this time, due to space.
We ask that parents be present at the Dharma Center (that is, upstairs in the Shrine Room) for their children to participate.
