The Buddha’s earliest teachings laid the foundation for practitioners of all interests. They include such seminal subjects as the “Four Noble Truths, the Four Marks of Existence, the Four Veils, and the Twelve Links of Interdependent Origination.

All were responses to his listeners’ interest in understanding the origin and nature of suffering within the human situation, as well as advice about how to apply a new point of view in order to lift that suffering.
